Thin lavender clouds cover the graying sky
someone spread
them with a butter knife
and then forgot
the sunlight fades
all is obscure
to my dim
vision
too soon the sun is gone
I wanted it to stay
it moves away
it takes the light
from me
it leaves me in
darkness
where did you
go
The Wind
ruffled my hair
touched my face
the sun
warmed
me
your smile
brilliant
a tear
slid
from
my
eye
