Fiction that creeped you out as a child not because of the plot events themselves...

...but because of the overly ominous delivery?

Examples from my childhood:

- "In one of the countless billions of galaxies in the universe, lies a medium-sized star, and one of its satellites, a green and insignificant planet, is now dead."
- The Biblical-looking end title card in the 50s movie When Worlds Collide.
