Loved that dog! She couldn't be trained, but I didn't care, just let her off-lead and she stuck with me. One odd thing: she hated water, wouldn't jump in the ocean with me or swim in the lake. But I'd take her to the beach, and just let her run.

Setters are like Pointers and Weimeraners: they bond to 1 person, and this dog was so sweet to me. I was a dramatic teenage girl, so when I was depressed over some guy rejecting me, Cassie would come and comfort me, cajole me into playing with her. It was 40 years ago, but I still miss her to this day.
