36. Ok - time for the way back machine - I was pretty high at most of these shows...
Woodstock.
Never made it.
I was 15 years old and 30 miles away in upstate New York, and I was babysitting my 10 year sister while everyone was at a funeral in NYC.
I was there in spirit, until my little sister fed about 3lbs of bologna to the dog.

Renaissance - 1978 at Carnegie Hall in Pittsburgh. 2nd row center. Close enough to see the sweat dripping into Annie Haslam's cleavage.
Awesome freaking concert.

Two weeks later, same venue, Shadowfax. Three rows behind our previous seats.

Fast forward a few years, New Years Eve 1980 at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver, The J. Giles Band.
Front Row Center, they played for 3 hours and did eight encores.
They blew the roof off of the place.
I could see the spit flying out of Magic Dicks harmonica.

In 1981 driving down Mississippi Blvd in Denver after picking up some pot around 7pm, we drive by the Rainbow Music Hall (again) and the marquee says:
"TONIGHT ONLY @ 10:00 THE GLIMMER TWINS"
I screamed PULL OVER, we're going to this show.

Second Row Center GA, my friend freaking because we were wasting our time seeing some bullshit band, but I knew better.
It was The Stones, rehearsing for the next days show at Folsom Field in Boulder.
Which we also had tickets to.
They were pretty lubed up and proceeded to get greasy for three hours.

Beat Farmers. Too many times. Eventually Country Dick and I were on a first name basis.

I could go on and on, they were all the BEST shows.
Until the next one.
