23. How many here watched the trial?
I'm curious if those voting actually watched the trial.

I had a job at the time that allowed me to have a television on all day, and since all I could get were local network channels, it was always on, so I saw as much of it as was broadcast.

I remember the day the verdict was read and not being at all surprised. I even remember thinking it was probably the verdict I would have given had I not been privy to any detail beyond what was presented at the trial itself.

This doesn't mean I think he's innocent. I think the prosecution, all the way from the cops to the trial lawyers, screwed up this case on every level and that the justice system was somewhat vindicated in that it didn't convict a man who had been prosecuted in such a manner. But, being on the outside and having access to information about the presented evidence that the defense skewed and the prosecution failed utterly to explain well, I think he was and is as guilty as hell.

It's interesting to me that Barry Scheck, who was instrumental in casting doubt on the DNA evidence and in my mind one of the big reasons OJ was acquitted, is a vocal proponent of using such evidence in securing the release of those wrongfully convicted.
