Reply #14: okay, I admit I got kicked out of Webelos too

I was a little atheist 'mo and refused to say the "Lord's Prayer" at a meeting.

Dad was military, we lived in Germany, convinced me to back down, so I agreed to their punishment: repaint the scout hut on base over a weekend.

They gave me 12 gallons of green paint, and then I spent all of my accumulated allowance on a gallon of bright pink paint. I painted all of Saturday, and most of Sunday, and then I put the pink polka dots on everything from the roof to the mailbox.

Unfortunately, I had also convinced some of my fellow Webelos to help me "vandalize" government property, so I got in a deep deep shitload of trouble, and so did my dad. And I also told them I would do it again, which didn't help my cause.
