HILARIOUS conversation between two nine year olds I just heard

Little Moonbeam has a friend over from her class to play for the afternoon. They are in her playroom across the hall. Here is the conversation they just had. I will call my daughter Erin and her friend Melissa (names have been changed!).

Erin: Oh yeah, well you're ECCENTRIC!

Melissa: You're enigmatic!

Erin: (laughing) You're killing me over here! You are erratic!

Melissa: Well you are erroneous.

Erin: You don't even know what that means.

Melissa: Yes I do! Stop contradicting me!

Erin: You are.....elephant-like.

Melissa: (long pause) No, I'm not. I think my parents are gonna vote for John Kerry.

Erin: Well, at least they have some sense, huh?

Melissa: Yeah.

Erin: We'll be best friends forever, ok?

Melissa: Ok.

(Little note from me: WHERE THE HELL are they getting that vocabulary? I read a lot as a kid, and I didn't have a vocabulary like that. I'm not sure they completely understood the words, but that was a hoot to listen to. The political angle seemed to completely come out of left-field.)
