though the latter only makes sense if he's singing, or at least really, really prominently featured.

My number one is still "Badge," co-written by and featuring L'Angelo Mysterioso, aka Layla's first husband. To my tin ear, that sounds like Eric singing; if it's actually Jack Bruce, that's ok, too.

As to solo stuff, I prefer "I Can't Stand It," cuz I'm a sucker for the sustained crescendo, and "Promises." Yes it's true, there is one person who liked "Spineless,"-- I mean "Backless."

Of EC's other band material, my knowledge is incomplete. There's the D & the Ds cover of "Little Wing," their "Bell Bottom Blues," and that song about Mrs. Harrison-- what was it called again?
