6. I've found that "living in the now" gets easer with practice.
Practice by doing things like eating breakfast in the morning and concentrating completely on that one particular bite. Experience it fully and, if any other thoughts come into your head, just return your attention to that bite that you're chewing - how does it feel in your mouth, how does it look, etc.

I understand the stress that you're under; I've been there myself in the past. It makes me so value my current work environment. I have to say that the appreciation that I currently feel is something good thing that came out of that particular bad situation. Otherwise, I'm sure that I'd take my friendly coworkers for granted.

Please do what you can to remove yourself from the situation as soon as possible. :hug:
