Third week of June we have the Strawberry Festival. Try the Adult Tricycle races on that Friday night through downtown. 'Grueling' comes to mind here...never participated myself but they are a blast to watch.
We actually have a burger joint here that serves YAK!!!(I am serious you Lounge Lizards).
We are now also famous for having the longest teacher strike in Washington State. 49 days this past fall. The voters here voted 3 of the long time board members out during that strike at about 63-67% votes cast saying they had to go. I am very pro public education and pro teacher myself.
Come see us. Mr. Jax is a much 'nicer' liberal than I am and he cooks an excellent Dungeness Crab. We would love to see any and all DUers anytime. I promise to play nice...
