This is hard to explain -- First of all, the worst (or maybe best) part is that it works as an amnesiac so that you don't really remember what you do. The second thing is that it can leave you in a state where you're not really awake but not really asleep -- awake enough to drive a car or make a telephone call or do something else dangerous but you're not in control, you're not rational, you won't remember doing it and there is the potential for some really fucking dangerous consequences (like driving -- which I don't believe I've ever done but cannot be 100% certain). Fortunately, from what my family tells me, my behavior has just been more of the embarrassing kind (i.e., you lose your inhibition)and not the dangerous kind.

I was on it nightly for well over a year before I finally got scared enough to stop taking it. Insomnia sucks and it's easy to get drawn into using it because -- well, insomnia sucks.
