9. The weather
Across Australia, the weather was crazy. March (the beginning of autumn] was harsher than February (summer). In Adelaide for example, for the first half of March, almost every day was above 35 degrees celcius (forgive me my ignorance, but I cannot translate that into fahrenheit). We were comparatively fortunate in Melbourne, still we had to deal with a number of days reaching up towards 40.

I prefer the cold to the heat, it's easier for me to cope with.
