i know it is funny how they turn out sometimes. i have the pleasure of seeing the older kids turn out fine in spite of adolescent bull. these smarties can be traumatic. you feel like everything should be a breeze for them because there is so much emphasis on "intelligence." but they are only talking about one or two kinds of intelligence. and so often a kid that is real gifted in the conventional sense has such gaps in some of the others. especially in knowing just how gifted they are. sigh. this too shall pass. not sure who it is harder on.
