A sadistic kid I grew up with (now an adult, of course) is now in prison

Just found this out the other day. He's serving a four-year sentence for battering his girlfriend into a bloody pulp (apparently, not his first time beating his girlfriends up).

My experience with him: In the fifth grade, over at his house, he introduced me to what he said was a new "water massage" faucet his parents had added to their kitchen sink. At his request, I placed my hand under the faucet. He pressed some lever, and out came scalding hot water. I walked home with my left wrist and top part of my left hand bursting with blisters.

So the spoiled rich kid with below-average intelligence and a taste for torture has become wife/girlfriend beater, and is now doing hard labor in a southern work prison. No surprise.
