39. I agree
JK Rowling is by far the stronger writer. What killed me about Stephanie Meyer, was that she would pick a word and beat it to death throughout the entire book. Why her editors didn't buy her a thesaurus is a mystery to me.

What Meyer was good at was accurately capturing the excitement and fear every girl feels when they experience sexual attraction for the first time. Every glance, every touch, the sheer thought of the first kiss...it's all so electrifying. Reading Twilight took me back to that time in my life (sans vampires of course). It makes sense that tween girls would love this series.
