6. Couple of things
Nicotine is not a carcinogen. In fact, it's a great decongestant. But it is what keeps us crawling back to smokes so I am currently trying to ween myself off of it so the next time my device breaks (inevitable) I'm not going to freak the fuck out and go buy a pack of smokes like I did 2 weeks ago.

As for the boiling down process, I would never crack open a cigarette for it's tobacco. Can you imagine what shit's in there? I'd go to a pipe shop and get the untreated stuff. It's a ton cheaper too. 'Tar' is a phenomenon that occurs only during the burn process of smoking. Same with the carbon monoxide. Simply boiling it in water and adding the solution to the glycerin is as harmless, or harmful, as adding any other flavor.
