19. I hate snow, but I'd take a few inches of that from you now if
I could. Our Acting Superintendent of the school district stated that he will not close the schools even one single day no matter the weather. Now, our school district only uses buses for handicapped and ES students; every other STUDENT walks...but the teachers drive, some for quite a distance.

The school board is currently trying to retract the contract just signed in October (which was done a year after the last contract expired). There is little love lost at this point, and the Acting Superintendent keeps making nasty comments about how he could do this or that about the teachers....and he used to be a teacher himself, for many years, that's the sickening part.

So, he said he won't close schools for bad weather.....why? Is he hoping someone will get killed coming to work, and then he won't have to lay them off?

We are supposed to get 5-8 inches tonight. I'd like to see a foot or more, and then see him not close the schools, and then let the parents go at him. I did get an opportunity last snow fall to mention his policy to two parents, and they were incredulous.
