If they continue to get so worked up that they go on shooting sprees of law enforcement and innocent victims, the government will be forced to increase gun controls. And if they go so far as to attempt an armed insurrection, the controls will become draconian. Then all this right wing pundits will be able to say, "See, we told you so!"

This is what my first anthropology professor called a self-fulfilling prophesy - a prediction that itself leads to the predicted result.
