They were specifically designed NOT to be switchblades.
Like any other non switchblade, they require you to pull or push on the blade itself to open it. Assisted opening knives as the name implies have as spring of some kind which makes the opening easier. I carry a Gerber Fast Draw, which is a nice inexpensive ($35) assisted opening knife with a 440 SS blade. Local law enforcement does not have a problem with it.  |
