They feared it when one of their writers endorsed Kerry for President... he said that Bush was so bad that another 4 years would set the conservative movement back a generation or more, while if Kerry had won, he'd be stuck with the twin huge problems of Iraq & the budget deficit requiring so much work that he'd not be able to accomplish much, leaving him a ripe target in 2008.
