6. It's a shame to start rehashing the past like this
but Dean also pulled out of the race and DK (to his credit) went the distance. Dean also requested that his name not be put in nomination and requested that his delegates vote for Kerry which they honored. Dean did, btw, get some very impressive votes after he pulled out of the race, winning his state of Vermont (how many other candidates who dropped out won their states?) and came in second in states like Idaho and Pennsylvania (after quitting the race). I have nothing but admiration for DK and what he did, but I don't think we need to start these kinds of comparisons.
