Why don't we hear Bush talk about making his tax cuts permanant?

Bush wants cuts in the budget that hurt most Americans but his tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans made permanant. Bush has declared class warfare. If we need stern budget cuts and social security is in danger - what about his tax cuts?

Bush wants the two issues kept entirely separate and so far everyone is cooperating. The two issues are two sides of the coin and must be kept linked.
