On NPR's show Odyssey today a caller asked if the Bu$h Administration use of hyper-patriotic actions, such as saynig "your either against us or with us", resembled Fascism in the 1930's in Italy and Germany.
The show had 2 Political Science professors on it (I joined the program late and missed their names or where they were from.) These 2 guys tip-toed around the subject, but neither denied there were similarities. One of the guys said the actions of the Bush administration, though you have to be careful saying, parallels Hitler's power in Germany before WWII. The other guest on the show discussed rallies Hitler had in Germany to promote nationalism. Then he said that Hitler was widely popular with the industrial base in Germany while Bush has similar popularity with corportations now.
