Kos: Could AG Blumenthal challenge Lieberman in Dem primary?
Advertisements [?]
Apparently Ct. State AG Richard Blumenthal is preparing to run for another office other than the one he is currently in, since Dem. State Senator George Jepsen is raising money to run for AG. Blumenthal is apparently being coy, and while some think he is running for Governor, there are those who think that Blumenthal could be convinced to challenge Lieberman in a Democartic primary for the U.S. Senate--especially since Gov. Rall of CT has 80% plus approval ratings.

There is a strong dissent among many Democrats over Lieberman, despite his strong approval ratings (strongest with Republicans, but also has a 65% approval rating with Dems), and in a primary where usually turnout is a huge factor--a well qualified opponent could give Lieberman a run for his money.
