party as to how bad the dirty tricks were. And how illegal. This division does exist. A normal president would not let such lack of trust by the voters fester. A neocon Rovian patsy would. They get a payoff.

By fester I mean the division between the people who don't think the machines were messed with and the people who do.

And yes - Bush not racing to fix the voting issue - is a contrived response to the problem. (I am sure you agree that if you are right and I am wrong, Bush has no personal knowledge of code being fixed). So why does he ignore it? Because he is not a president who takes responsibility for anything or reads anything. He is completely handled by his handlers. An empty vessel.
