Reply #41: This Week "Condilies" Tops Herself. Now She's "CondoLoophole Rice"

Rice said that "as a matter of US policy," American obligations under the UN Convention Against Torture, which also bans cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment, applies to US personnel both in the United States and around the world.

This is her new double speak. It was reported widely that she spent last weekend being coached by legal experts before making this trip to confront our allies in Europe. What amazes me is that no one seems to be parsing the right portion of this memorized line from Condi.

All of the emphasis has been on the part of her statement above regarding this country not using torture inside the U.S. or outside the U.S. What everyone should be parsing, is the carefully chosen words that point to "U.S. personnel". That is the loop hole that the legal experts have instructed her to use consistently in her speeches and interviews on her European tour. The UN Convention Against Torture guidelines are not being violated by "U.S. personnel". She is actually correct here, Because we are rendering terror suspects to nations that will do that dirty work for us. Additionally, when, either on U.S. soil or not, we use hired "contractors" to be the ones tipping the board that puts suspects heads below water. As long as "U.S. Personnel" are standing in the next room, when the torture is being doled out, she is actually legally correct in her statement.

I am outraged our country lead by this administration is merely perceived as torturers, let alone that we clearly are. What has happened to our principals? But the arrogance of this boldface lying taking on global proportions by CondoLoophole again, embarrasses me to be an American in today's world. However, just as disappointing is the fact that her word deception seems to be going unmasked, and unrecognized by the media, and apparently the world.

These PNAC WHIGs are so shameful. This has to be the most dishonest and most corrupt administration in American History. They are ruining our great country.
