Bush had stacked up enough crimes in the first four years to pretty much rub out the "with a good heart" notion. With Kerry in office, the executive order putting the Reagan/GHWB papers out of reach would have been overturned by now and Reagan would be seen as the crook (and GHWB the tool) that they were.

Not to mention a small matter of an executive order authorizing warrantless spying on Americans.

Kerry would be trying to fix the disaster in Iraq, and the whole country would know that Bush had left a burning sack of shit on the national doorstep.

Every second Schimpanski is in office is an invitation to further disaster.
