Notably, my hometown of Colorado Springs/ El Paso County, home of Dobson, Haggard and a plethora of their bosom buddies. In addition, we have a great number of military retirees and defense contractors. Dems are outnumbered in registration 2-1 in El Paso and there hasn't been a Democratic county comissioner since the 70's.

Elsewhere, we have Tom Tancredo's 6th district, which covers the southern and western burbs of Denver, and Marylin Musgrave's 4th CD, which covers the eastern plains. Both of those places are also quite conservative, although not to the extent of El Paso County.

Don't get upset though, we're getting more purple all the time. I forsee a lot of good news coming out of our state this year.
