4. It is about the oil, all the oil in Iraq and Iran
The Bremer edicts were issued to allow export of Iraqi resources and capital by the multinational corporations without payment of fair duties or taxes. These edicts were made permanent by the so called Iraqi Constitution which was written by Americans. The "new" Iraq was designed to be nothing more than an American corporate colony.

Now, with such an illegitimate government, Americans can't seem to understand why Iraqis won't fight to defend such a central government and why they won't give up their militias. The reason is that the central government as an American corporate quisling has no legitimacy whatever.
