Mike Wallace and Art Buchwald and others have spoken out about depression. Brooke Shields has spoken out about post-partum depression.

What Ann Romney said will draw attention to MS, and may encourage others to speak out and campaign for more funding for research. Lupus and MS are given only small slivers of the federal research money pie and I have to think it's because they primarily affect women.
