Biden, unlike some front-runners, will not only NOT unify and energize the Republican base, but he has significant direct appeal to independents, and to lapsed and disaffected Republicans.

We won those swing voters in 2006. But we will win in 2008 only if we both inspire our own base and also continue to win the independent vote.

Biden can do both. Can we say that of each of our current front-runners?

(If we can say the same of another front-runner, does that individual have the momentum, political moxie, and persona to actually win our nomination, or are they floundering?)








How much time do we have to coalesce behinf a winner?
