I don't hold it against any of the senators running if they miss some votes during the campaign

unless it's a vote where their vote could actually make a difference in the outcome on a critical issue. It's more important now that they campaign. Voters in key states need to see the candidates in person, and the more time they all have to campaign and reach the people the better.
