5. August (Augie) Busch III and IV are indeed heirs
to the Andheuser Busch Breweries fortune. Don't know which one you heard, but I think its IV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_Busch_III

Ducks Unlimited, while a supporter of hunting, is also a major force in wetland conservation. Busch is a supporter.

Too bad you can't stand the idea of someone "not Liberal in any case" actually doing something worthwhile. And while I don't get a thrill out of shooting critters, don't choose to do it, I don't disparage those who enjoy duck hunting in the wild. It's the game-farm hunters who creep me out.

And frankly, if some people who want to shoot critters for fun were allowed to cull some of the burgeoning deer herd around here, it would not make me unhappy. At least then the dead deer would not have caused an auto accident whilst cashing it in.

And if my local Air America affiliate ran ads promoting Ducks Unlimited (or deer hunting), with money from Busch, I'd be tickled to death they got the ad money. They aren't doing all that well - seems like somehow the advertising cash comes from - gasp - businesses - and many of them are operated by - double gasp - conservatives. But conservatives money is still green.
