9. Phewee.
That takes me back. I had an American government teacher who believed the war was the right thing to do because he still believed in the domino theory. Even back then, most of us were hooting derision at him for this (luckily he could tolerate the dissent and took it good-naturedly). Of course, this was 1979, so he had yet to be proven completely and utterly wrong. But now what is people's excuse for continuing to prop up the "we had to at least try to destroy all the godless commies before they took over the world" argument?
