What Edwards Wants From Supporters

I posted this late last night, but I don't think many saw this, so I am reposting.

Edwards has asked his supporters to not jump ship right away. See the details from a conference call he made to high level supporters (the details of which are posted below and were previously posted at DU by another blogger)

In a conference call to high level volunteers Edwards told them the following:

"Poverty will be the issue on which Edwards will continue to pursh for concessions. He said "I have not endorsed anyone...I pressed them (Obama and Clinton)in conversation in the last few days on details of what they would do about poverty - we have very detailed committments...

I will not endorse before Tues, or even after.

TAKE A BREATHER AND DON'T MAKE ANY SUPPORT DECISIONS YET -- I AM COUNSELING YOU ALL TO KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY - TAKE A DEEP BREATH

It is impossible to know what tomorrow holds."

Now Listen Up Edwards supporters. The phrase "keep your powder dry" means "TO BE READY FOR A CHALLENGE WITH LITTLE WARNING" or "TO BE READY TO TAKE ACTION IF NECESSARY."

John "suspended" his campaign. He can still accumulate delegates. He has asked supporters to be ready to take action with little warning.

I plan to vote for Edwards in the caucus - from this call, it sounds like he is brokering something and needs us to wait before we committ to a new candidate. So I urge you to continue to support Edwards.
