There has been speculation here at this forum, and many have wondered since she got the support of the right wing media moguls like Scaife and Murdoch. Even the media is targeting Obama while making it sound like Hillary has a fair shot for the nomination. She does not.
This writer just comes out and says it.
From the blogs at Telegraph UK
Republicans and Hillary Clinton unite against Barack ObamaThere’s an unholy alliance developing between Hillary Clinton and conservative Republicans to stop Barack Obama. Read what Karl Rove has to say about Obama being “pummelled”, “routed” and “clobbered” in Pennsylvania (er..it was a nine-point win), asking “what about the Michigan and Florida delegates?” and branding Obama a “reborn Adlai Stevenson” and a “whiner”. Could have come from the mouth of Harold Ickes or Howard Wolfson.
This part is even worse.
Republicans have joined with Hillary Clinton to attack Obama
Then there’s the North Carolina Republican Party ad featuring Obama and the Rev Jeremiah Wright. It’s supposedly opposing the Democratic candidates for governor and lieutenant-governor. But do you think it might also be designed to help Hillary Clinton just a teesny bit in the North Carolina primary on March 4th? Here’s video of the ad, which featured that old Deep South fear-mongering combination of a black man and a white woman. He calls out McAuliffe for praising Fox News, the new low of Hillary's campaign. Here's the
video of the Fox promo featuring McAuliffe. After Pennsylvania, Terry McAuliffe, Clinton’s campaign chairman has declared Fox News – loathed by most Democrats and a persistent vilifier of Obama – has gushed: "Fair and balanced, Fox ! You beat 'em all!" Which Fox has duly turned into a promotional ad for itself.
I guess all this just underlines the old adage of “my enemy’s enemy is my friend”. But the fact that the Republican party so desperately wants to help tear down Obama might just give some Democrats a clue as to who the GOP really wants John McCain to face in November.
The anger of many in our party is building toward Hillary. Her advocates go on TV and sound actually arrogant toward the rest of us in the party. They talk down in a way that is condescending.
The worst part is that Hillary's big smile and wide-eyed innocence show not a single sign of embarrassment. She seems not to care that she and her husband are losing respect with their divisiveness.
That is the worst...not even being embarassed.
