Unless of course Kay and Podvin are lying about it, or their sources are lying about it.
But that seems highly unlikely to me. It fits in with everything we've seen from NBC (and the other networks) over the past few years. I would be very surprised if it wasn't true.
The Kay/Podvin article is very interesting and enlightening, though quite long. I would recommend reading the whole thing. If EVERYONE read it, their gig would be up and few Americans would consider our corporate news media to be a reliable news source any more.
