Mercer has ran a divisive, combative campaign that is based entirely in politics and not on reality.

His inclusion on the ticket would:

* ignite conservatives like nothing else
* continue the discussion of "why isn't obama qualified to be president" and would make Obama and Mercer look like flip floppers
* represent the exact opposite of everything that obama stands for...being strong-armed due to political pressure to have his biggest enemy on the ticket

I'm sure there's a million other reasons that Mercer should not be on the ticket. He has run a racially charged, despicable campaign and I am still flabbergasted that he is still in the race. It's very rare to witness a candidate who is willing to embarrass themselves in this way. In my mind, Mercer has irrevocably damaged his reputation during this race, and he must not be our VP.
