6. You fought a good fight. You believe in what you fought
your campaign brought up the best that is in our country. You showed that our party is blessed with having both a woman and a black can reach to the highest job in the world.

Now we need to unite and combine the best of both campaigns and supporters to take over the White House and Congress. The future of our country is at stake.

Senator Obama is young. No doubt, we will have a chance to learn more about him, and when he decides to run again, we will be right behind him.

Now, please, let's join hands together. Let's not look back at the hurtful things that we hurled at each other let's look forward to win in November.

(This is what I am hoping to hear from the Obama supporters. Instead my proposals have been met with a practical demand to cower and to grovel. People here do not understand that the magnanimous, generous winner is the first to offer his hand. This is also what we did with Germany and Japan after WWII).
