What an amazing man. The event was in Madison, WI. It was a beautiful event with many vets from wars ranging from WWII to this recent war and many Kerry supporters as well.

Some choice quotes (from memory) were:

"When you want to go in reverse, choose R. If you want to go forward, choose D."

"When you start throwing dirt is when you know you're falling behind."

He was particularly upset with the Swift Boat Vets for Bush and leased into the Chimp and his minions. He said it was going to backfire in their faces.

Basically though, he recharged my batteries to go full speed ahead and get rid of the cowardly Chimp. Jim Wasser, who was with Kerry was also there and was very emotional about what happened.

A small article mentions the event:
“I was his second-in-command on PCF-44 (one of two swift boats Kerry commanded in Vietnam). We could go from sheer boredom to sheer terror in five seconds,” Jim Wasser of Kankakee, Ill., told the gathering of about 350 people. “... John Kerry is a true commander. That’s what we need today.”
