That's the situation in the Republican party. They took 8 years of the horrid Bush* administration, and saw that they have nothing left besides the bottom of the barrel and has-beens. So, they give McCain the nod, which they should've done 8 years ago, back when he was actually something resembling a "maverick" instead of just a wreck.

In contrast, the Democrats have a grande triple shot mocha cappuccino. No matter what we picked, it would've been excellent. And, we have two of the best in the party as our nominees.
