It will be more difficult.

All the more reason to do our job in 2010 to elect Democratic Senators and increase the numbers. And other local, state and federal offices.

Obama supporters that only came out to work for Obama need to come out in 2010 for Democratic candidates from Senators all the way down to city council members that support Obama's agenda. We lost races like the Governor here in Indiana because their only concern was electing Obama.

Maybe one action that Obama supporters could do would be to get involved in the endorsement process of candidates. There would be three ways of endorsements they could utilize. One would be provide input to any organization they are a member to the committee. Second, they could request a chance to speak before various PAC committees on their preferred candidate. Third, they could as individuals or small groups of individuals via newspapers and events.

On edit... and replace Blue Dogs and such with Obama supporters when possible.
