This is a petition saying that we won't surrender our freedom just because Bush is still the president, and just because he has a mostly Republican Congress. Screw Bush's mandate.

On a side note, I had the most annoying thing happen this morning. I woke up and found that a Bush/Chaney sign had been slid underneath my door. I just left a note for the idiot that I would be feeling insecure too if my president's ideas were being shot down by the mostly Republican Congress a lot (Ex. Gay marriage amendment, making new nukes, others).

It's funny how these conservatives get the election, but still feel so insecure that they have to do stuff like this. This only tells me one thing. This country's going forward, and they damn well know it. We're going to keep abortion legal. We're going to get gay marriages legal (but we'll probably have to make civil unions legal first), we're hopefully not going to get into another war (because of growing American skepticism from Iraq and the fear of the draft that Bush promised wouldn't happen).

We might have to battle a Republican president and a Republican Congress to several years, but we're going to prevail. I can feel it. All the Republicans can do is put the breaks on progress (which might be one reason why Americans are voting for Republicans so much. They might be too afraid of too much change happening too fast).

Think about it. Why do conservatives continue to hate us, be angry at us, and want to taunt us after winning so many elections? It's because they're not getting the results they've been hoping for. I bet they never thought the gay marriage issue would get as far as it did. Look at Phelps panicking in the picture on the DU homepage. May he burn in hell.

Okay, rant done.
