It was part of a larger article where they went thru all the crap that was going to happen - fully aware that it was going to be spun, and sometimes blaming Kerry as if he meant for it to happen, a bit schizophrenic for reporters who KNEW that it was a joke.

Point also being that reporters DID know and chose to run with the Bush storyline and created points to attack Kerry that had nothing to do with the truth. Just like the Gore invented the internet CREATION.
