14. I was at the speech
I work at Wayne State so I was able to get in to see the speech.

I don't know if the coverage showed her part, but Gov. Jennifer Granholm (who introduced Kerry) got the room way more energized than Sen. Kerry did.

Now the subject was kinda dry in places (I'm an accounting major and even I was glazing over a little in places, but hey, the room was warm!) but even in the parts where he was really sticking it to Bush, I just didn't feel a strong connection. It may be that this was billed as a major policy speech so he didn't want to seem too over the top.

Kerry is supposed to speak at a large UAW rally tonight, that should be more energetic.
