Obama said exactly what I said he did when he answered "Yes," to the question posed.

In the video, Obama's answer to this question has been edited (surprise, surprise). The very front of it -- where he says 'yes' -- has been deleted. But it is nevertheless clear from his remaining remarks that his answer to the questioner was a definite, "Yes."

That's important, because the question was as follows:

"Would you be willing to meet separately, , in the anywhere else with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?"

By saying 'yes,' Obama publicly committed to meeting with any or all of those dictators within the first year of his presidency, WHEREVER they say he has to meet them. (i.e., they can jerk him around by choosing an embarrassing or difficult location, and he'll have no choice but to show up or break his word).

And once he goes to wherever they tell him to go, these dictators can then make Obama discuss whatever issues they want him to discuss, under any ground-rules they choose to impose, and he will have no choice but to play ball with them or break his promise to meet with these leaders WITHOUT pre-condiitons. (i.e., they can jerk him around on the purpose and the procedures for the meeting and he'll either have to put up with it, or look like he didn't know what he was saying when he made such an open-ended promise in the first place (which happens to be the truth.)

Where did Obama say the words I said he did?

If you ask me if I kicked your dog and I say, "yes," you don't have to hear me precisely articulate the words "I kicked your dog" to know that I kicked your dog.

In the same way, Obama does not have to precisely articulate the words: "I will go anywhere foreign dictators tell me to, at any time during the first year of my presidency, to discuss anything those dictators want me to discuss, under any conditions they want to discuss them -- even if their only purpose is to jerk me around and make me look naive."

No, he doesn't have to actually say those words. All he has to do is say 'yes' to the question posed. And that's exactly what he did.
