angry, more alienated than ever from a party that I have already been feeling extremely alienated from. It would tell me that Kerry and the party establishment just don't "get it", and think we're still living in the same political world that we were in the past. Like they really don't understand what the stakes are, and are still playing the same old political games.

It would feel like an embrace of the past over the future, and would seal in my mind that the Democrats are intent on becoming irrelevant and obsolete in the modern world.

It would tell me that they care more about political cronyism than about winning the election. I would very seriously re-consider my membership in the party once the election was over with.

That said, I would still support and vote for the ticket, albeit, without enthusiasm.
