30. another BLATANT attempt to smear - typical Clinton tactics
the people doing this "analysis" are either dumb as bricks or intentionally misunderstanding.

Agricultural specialists are needed in Afghanistan to help the locals develop crops other than opium poppies, Sen. Obama said. "But if we're sending them to Baghdad, they're not in Afghanistan," he added.

"Iraq has many problems, but encouraging farmers to grow food instead of opium isn't one of them," noted Mr. Wright and Ms. Miller.

-- saying that agriculture specialists are in Iraq is NOT the same thing as saying Iraq is growing opium. Agricultural specialists do not just deal with those who grow opium.

get it?

I have to wonder if Wright and Miller are really that stupid. -- or maybe they're intentionally misunderstanding.

The truth is that the U.S. does have a shortage of interpreters. This has been a big deal since our military FIRED interpreters when they found out these ppl were gay. Again and again the issue of America's lack of language experts has been mentioned as one of the reasons the U.S. has had problems dealing with situations there. Iraqis have died merely because they have worked as translators.

But of course, knowing these facts and how they might impact the U.S. presence in Iraq isn't as imp. as trying to smear the Democratic presidential candidate.

You repeat the right-wing talking point about appeasement in relation to Israel. The person who wrote this article repeats Kevin James' STUPID assertion that talking equals appeasement. This bullshit fits right in with the other right wing lies you posted here about problems with a former President Clinton advisor meeting with Hamas when it is part of his current job to do so. The guy works for an Intern'l Org. that seeks to create peaceful solutions.

You know, there are a lot of Israelis that are FAR more liberal, far less reactionary than Americans when it comes to their own foreign policy.

This editorial is obviously a hit piece.
