It seems that because the county decided to delay its convention a day more, there is a dispute whether the county that voted about 76 percent for Obama will stand up to a challenge by her supporters. The supporters have called for a challenge at the state convention. It is the reverse of what the Clinton campaign has been rallying for in FL/MI.

It was a localized version of the Michigan/Florida debate in Grand Prairie today and once again, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama supporters were at odds.

Local Clinton supporters advocated Thursday for unseating ALL of the Democratic delegates from Collin County because their senate district conventions were held on the wrong day.

Officials with the Collin County Democratic Party said they chose to hold the convention a day late because there wasn't a large enough venue in the county available for the scheduled date of Saturday, March 29. Some Tarrant County delegates could have ended in the same boat, according to Fort Worth Clinton backer Jason Smith.

He told the committee that then-Tarrant County Democratic Chair Art Brender tried to change the date of the convention for Senate District 10 because he was having trouble finding a proper location. State Party Chairman Boyd Richie told him that wasn't allowed, according to Smith. The SD 10 convention was eventually held on March 29 in Will Rogers Coliseum.

“We actually held senate district 10 in a rodeo barn,” Smith said.

The move seeks to unseat ALL delegates from the county. It was a 26 to 6 split for Obama.

UPDATE 2:

Collin County has 17 Delegates in SD-30 which are 9-8 Obama. Disenfranchising these delegates barely affects Clinton's 28 delegate lead in that SD.

Most of Collin County is in SD-8 where the Obama Delegates lead 108 to 55. The rest of SD-8 is from Dallas County where Obama still would lead 52 to 35 and carry the SD.

The only difference would be a change from a 64% to a 59% Obama margin which wouldn't effect the Delegate Allocation or the Nominating Committees margin of 19 Obama SD appointees to 13 Clinton SD apointees and 3 appointed by Boyd (whose endorsing Obama as we speak, along with his wife, who is also a superdelegate).

Whether Collin County is seated in full totally disenfranchised it won't effect the final delegate allocation one bit.
