snip . . .

"Under the current system, the winning presidential candidate gains all nine of Colorado's electoral votes even in a close race. Under the system proposed by Amendment 36, the winner's net gain in a close race would be one vote (a 5-4 victory in electoral votes). Will Colorado simply be reducing its own national influence if it divides its electoral votes among two or more candidates?"
